BIO:
It can be argued that the life of firefighter Kerry Vasquez ended during the Decepticon invasion of Earth in 2008 and the chain of events that led to the creation of “Moonhunter” were set in motion. Among the millions of casualties was his wife. The Autobots managed to drive the Decepticons off, but they were not exactly hailed as heroes. Kerry did not care about another faction of alien robots; he didn't believe Earth should rely on them for protection. Somehow, he fit the perfect recruitment profile for one of G. B. Blackrock's projects, building an armor of Headmasters using technology “acquired” from the long-dead Machination. Still angry from his losses, Kerry signed up without hesitation. Without a Cybertronian spark to help control the bodies, however, the project never got past the prototype stage—until Galvatron led an attack on the facility to claim the Enigma. Vasquez, in his Headmaster armor and not content to rely on Autobot defenders once again, grabbed a gun and started shooting Decepticons.
He ducked behind the wounded Autobot Gunslinger for cover, just as the Enigma started to glow, and found himself fused with Gunslinger in a true symbiosis. The two set aside their confusion long enough to rally against the Decepticons. Sharing Gunslinger's thoughts and firm conviction in the Autobot cause, Vasquez accepted his new place in their ranks, and even followed his new allies to Cybertron ten years later to defend it from Unicron. During the nighmarish battle, Gunslinger was pierced though the spark by a piece of debris, and Vesquez was rendered catatonic. But when Optimus Prime unleashed the Matrix and destroyed Unicron, the planet was bathed in its energy, and Vasqez was given new life as his body was transmuted into a true spark of its own.
Suddenly finding himself the sole occupant of a Cybertronian body, he called himself Gunslinger at first, but when Optimus Prime refused to execute Megatron for his undeniable war crimes, and allowed the former Decepticon leader to galavant around space in search of a fairy tale, Vasquez lost all faith in what the Autobots stood for. He grew angry, but he could not stand returning to Earth and being considered an outsider there too. And, feeling claustrophobic in his vehicle alternate mode, he reformatted himself to transform into a wolf and renamed himself “Moonhunter.” For a while, he hid out amongst the neutrals, but didn't feel like he belonged with them either. And then, hen Eukaris joined the Council of Worlds, he traveled there, hoping to find some kind of peace with his new existence. Seeking some order and purpose in his chaotic, senseless life, he began training as a lawman for the Fur Walkers. But even there, he felt... empty.
After almost fifty years in exile, he finally decided to face his past, and returned to Earth. With no choice but to start fresh on his homeworld, he enlisted with the Earth Defense Command.
WEAPONS/ABILITIES:
Moonhunter is armed with a laser-saber shamelessly copying the style from certain science fiction movies, along with a pair of high-powered disruptor pistols capable of scrambling a Cybertronian's circuitry. Within his right forearm is a grapnel-launcher capable of firing a 30-foot cable which can support up to ten tons of weight. Within his left forearm is a launcher that can fire up to 6 “capture pikes” which can form an energy net. The back of his right hand also stores a small laser useful for welding or precision cutting.
WEAKNESSES:
Prone to outbursts of anger. Openly hostile towards anyone with a Decepticon badge. Due to the perceived comparative durability of being a robot, he is prone to abusing his body in combat and straining it to its limits.
