Shadow frowned slightly at 'talkiphone', but let it go and had given her word to the children that she would get them all out safely, as soon as she could. She was not one to make promises after all.
Carefully flying down the hole using her wings as a sort of parachute with occasional short wing beats to keep her speed steady, much like a hunting hawk on a breeze trying to keep its stability. Shadow performed her calculations quickly and landed on her hind legs, using her tail as a counterbalance to make sure that no-one would be squished; as she carefully set the humans on the floor. "There we're down safe and sound, careful I have been told that your legs maybe a little err what the word used...wobbly? Yes I think that's it wobbly due to the way I fly. Though that was a longer journey so you might be fine." She eyed them carefully as she spoke running some careful and non-intrusive scans of both the humans and the surrounding area. Shadow had checked her archives for the term 'shock' and was a little concerned.
"This place is strange" she commented out loud, mantling her wings over the two humans to keep them safe from any loose debris...or dirt, before returning to the comm channel "You might be right about the shock; she's oddly calm about all this right now. Regardless, strange things how? I have started scanning the area passively so as not to ping sensors, but it'll take a few seconds to collaborate the data."

As soon as she'd climbed down off the dragon's back, Janet ran to the E-type's side, though stumbling on those wobbly legs. Elegance stopped and opened her door to let mother and daughter unite. 'Susan!' Janet cried with relief, hugging the girl in the seat. 'Mummy! Elly caught me! She said I was a brave girl!'
While she waited, Elegance dipped her headlights, casting their bright beams across the dusty, flagstoned floor, picking out big blocky footprints. 'Strange things like Cybertronian footprints, for instance. Not mine, by the way β wrong size class.' She raised her headlights again and scanned the vast vaulted chamber, with columns holding up a domed, cathedral-like roof. 'I don't think humans built this place. It's too big for them, not in their Dark Ages. But it's big enough for Cybertronians.'
But soon, Shadow's passive scans found much more: electromagnetic fields and radiation sources, embedded in the walls. There was technology here.
Switching to audio communication, Elegance spoke to the other human in the group. 'Mary, how are you? I heard you were stung... Mary?' Elegance repeated again, confused and concerned as Mary had just started walking away from family and Autobots, heading into the darker depths of the cavern. 'Mary, where are you going. It might not be safe.' Elegance warned.
'This is... an important archaeological discovery. We must investigate.' Mary said coldly, continuing to march off.

Shadow watched mother and daughter reunion with something of an odd look on her face, but one which could only really be understood by other cybertronians. She seemed confused, but hurt in a way, as though remembering something so long ago that she no longer really understood it. She quickly snapped out of it and once everyone was off and away shook herself thoroughly, quite like a cat would.
"Cybertronian? I wouldn't think this place would have had much foot traffic in years. Strange to build somewhere in a cliff-side area, it generally doesn't lend itself well to hiding whilst you're building; too many echos...but perhaps that's why the castle collapsed? I know it says sea erosion caused it, but this looks old...more data is required I think. My scans tell me that there's technology down here, EM fields and radiation sensors. Don't think there's any EW though but it might be designed to be set off as we move in or go active, wouldn't be surprised for it be a trap of some kind." She paused before glancing over at Mary "Shall I scout? I am good at moving quickly and unseen, but I don't wish to leave the children behind upside for too long."
Seeing Mary walk away Shadow sat on her haunches much like a confused cat tilting her head "Is this normal behavior?" she asked out loud. Quickly leaping over in front of Mary, making full use of her quadruped form to twist in order to block the corridor as she landed and crouched. It would be difficult to get past, but not impossible. Or Mary could just try to climb over her, Shadow was unlikely to actually do much as she was too concerned about doing serious harm. "Please desist, there could be structural integrity issues!" she asked with as much worry as she could manage to inject into her voice.

Mary stopped and stared at Shadow for a long moment, and at last said 'There are for giant Transformers like you. I am smaller, it will be safer. You will wait here.' She looked at how Shadow blocked the corridor, and added 'You will move.'
Meanwhile, Elegance emitted softly to Janet, a note of concern in her tone 'Does your sister normally get like this?'
But Janet just shook her head, as surprised and worried as the Autobots. 'No. She's not even interested in archaeology...'

Shadow growled audibly, her optics narrowed, hackles raised and fangs bared. Her patience was wearing thin for this and her suspicions were starting to seem less like suspicions. "No. Whatever is going on here, I don't like it and I will not let you pass" then without any warning and as quick as lightning she lunged to grab Mary in her fore-claws, mindful not to stab the woman with the wicked points of them. Once she had Mary secured, Shadow ran a more in-depth scan of the human, but kept away from anything that would be harmful to the organics.
"Elegance, I recommend taking these people somewhere safe before we look around. There is something going on here and I am concerned, however I will defer to your judgement on the matter." she spoke quite calmly to human ears, but her sub-vocalisation seemed to be an angry growl she couldn't quite suppress enough.

'No! Let go of me, Autobot!' Mary demanded angrily, struggling against Shadow's claws, trying to force them apart and to wriggle out, but it was futile. Meanwhile, Shadow's in-depth scans detected a lot of unusual electrical activity in Mary's brain and even encrypted signals from something in her cerebellum. It was a metal pellet, only a tenth of a millimetre across and a few more long, with nanoscopic filaments attached to her very neurons.
In alarm, Janet had rushed up to the pair, before stopping short in shock at Mary's strange behaviour. 'Mary! What's wrong? Please don't hurt her!' she worried, for seeing her sister in the clutches of a giant metal dragon was disturbing no matter the reason.
'Janet, please, I think you should come sit inside me for now.' Elegance called her back, and when Susan squealed 'Mummy! What's wrong with Aunty Mary?' and was about to cry, Janet hurried fearfully back into the safety of the car.
Elegance switched to their private channel, advising 'Hold her carefully, she's not in control of her actions. I saw something like this with the Spy Changers during the Warβ'
But she was interrupted by the terrible sound of a child's scream, echoing down from the hold in the cavern roof. Moments later, a transmission came to both Autobots, from the communicator Shadow had given James. They heard his voice, shaky and fearful. 'Shadow! Elegance! The Black Knight caught us!'

Shadow just gave Mary's squirming a very unimpressed look, but her anger had not quite gone away yet, still she wrestled it under control and sighed "Janet, your sister is physically unharmed though currently not herself. I am angry, but not without control" she ignored Mary's cries entirely. Over the comms to Elegance she replied "Yes I know, my scans show that she has been implanted with some kind of brain control device. I am honestly quite furious" she stopped as James' voice came over the comms telling them that he'd been captured, old remembered pain suddenly flashed through her followed by a tightly controlled rage. She could not afford to falter now.
"Though not as angry as I am now" she spoke aloud, the full force of her crimson glare turned towards Mary and whomever was controlling her. "Whomever you are puppet master, I would suggest letting those children go before I decide to eviscerate you, trust me on this, you will not see me coming," her voice drops to a threatening whisper tinged with a sub-harmonics growl "no-one ever does". Shadow's sub-processes were already coming up with plans to 'deal' with that problem, as she had no desire to harm Mary; but sometimes intimidation worked better than an outright attack.
Ensuring the channel was secure Shadow spoke to Elegance "On the highly likely chance my threatening doesn't work, can you grab a hold of me? If I do a full powered jump, I should be able to get you and the humans up to the hole-mouth. Though I'm not sure what awaits us up there, but we will likely only get one surprise moment and we best make the most of it. You're likely better at planning things that don't involve outright murder, but I'm prepared to do so should it be required" she sounded more tired than angry at her last sentence as though she'd thought she'd left it behind, only to find it'd come back to bite her backside. However, a current of determination ran through too, she was no stranger to this and was prepared to do anything to keep those children safe.
The strain on her wings from getting her up there would likely limit her flight abilities until her self repair systems managed to ease the strained servos, but it wouldn't over-load them completely (thankfully Elegance was the only cybertronian who needed a lift there's no way she'd be able to carry two).

'You didn't see me coming, Autobot!' Mary, or rather whoever controlled her, hissed through her mouth, glaring hatefully at Shadow. 'I am the puppet master, and you will obey me β if you want these snivelling human younglings to be let go unharmed.' From above, they heard more squeals of terror and anguish that pierced even a mechanical heart.
Hearing this, Elegance revved her engines in anger and the need to act, but she couldn't, not with her human passengers inside and not while stuck down in this bloody hole! She huffed in irritation, dipped her headlights, and answered Shadow with a verbal head-shake. 'Mmm-mmm. You'll be too slow carrying me, as well as the humans. And this "Black Knight" will be covering the hole, ready to take a shot at whatever comes out. It'll be too risky, especially for the humans. You'll have the best chance going alone.' she advised, driving a few metres closer and passing her headlights across the walls and ceiling. 'I can drive up these walls, but the hole is too fragile. Still, I might work out something...' she mused. 'Or we could see what he wants, and try to play this out.'
'Well, Autobots? What will it be?' a harsh mechanical voice demanded loudly from above.

Shadow started laughing, a bitter and cruel sound that would set many a persons hair on edge. "That's cute. Really, you have a dizzying intellect. Right now, that you have those children, is the only reason I've not jumped up there to kill you, believe me"- she snorted in amusement -"I'd love nothing more than to spill your life over my fangs and claws; your kind die so sweetly. Now if you did follow along with that, oh so inspired threat. What may I ask would stop me from attacking you?" Her voice was disturbingly warm and amused as though talking to a friend at the pub.
Over the comms she asked Elegance "Okay, I know what I sound like, but psychological warfare is a pain in the skid; the longer I keep him talking the more time I have to act. I need you to take Mary, can you hold her in place whilst I deal with whomever that is? I have a plan; but I need to act fast. Hopefully I'm going to make him nervous or over-confident enough that he wont react fast enough when I strike. My reflexes are pretty good and he literally wont be able to see me coming, idiots already given away his location so I can take him out in one hit. ...err alive or dead by the way?" she paused thinking over what Elegance said before adding thoughtfully "I mean we could ask what he wants, but I already don't like this guy and I'm probably going to either kill him now or track him down and poison him...maybe liquefy his fuel tank so he dies gurgling, that was often quite a good one; could get out before anyone noticed I was there"
She sat on her haunches, tail wrapped around her legs. Her tail's wire/fur like tip occasionally brushing at Mary in a way which was kind of ticklish; but not outright malicious as she watched Mary, then the entrance with an almost lazy and amused air as though now she thought about it, this entire thing was actually quite hilarious. In reality she was seething quietly, but none of her kind ever survived by showing off her true emotions and she'd brought them all back under her control.
Once Elegance made her own idea known Shadow's plan was simple, activate her camouflage, disappear from sight and all sensors before performing a jump strike with her sword; having triangulated his position from his voice, she knew if she pushed from the opposing wall she could use her speed, her wings and her momentum to effectively drive her blade through his neck whilst utilising the terrain to grab a hold of the hostages and cushion their fall with her own more lightly armored frame, because no-one ever held hostages next to their own necks, which was often ironically the lightest armored part of the body...shame really it would make this a lot harder if they did. She was also aware that with the time of day it was the sunlight would be to her advantage as it would be casting long shadows which would also help to hide her movement.
The downside was that it might actually traumatise the kids, but to be frank; Shadow didn't really know much about that.

'The shame of your failure!' the Black Knight bellowed back defiantly.
After confirming her confused and frightened humans were safely strapped in, Elegance transformed, rising up on her back wheels into robot mode and performing a little pirouette to face Shadow again. Some transformation modes could be so inconvenient. Her canopy-cloak fell down over the back, safely covering Janet and Susan. 'I can take her.' Elegance agreed and reached down to Shadow and took Mary out of, and off, her hands. Though she struggled, she held her gently but firmly, and began to scan her closely for the invading technology. 'Don't worry, Shadow has a plan to rescue James, Oliver, and Samantha, and stop whoever's got them. And we'll then cure Mary.' she assured both Janet and Mary, speaking to the woman trapped within. It had to be a nightmare, not being in control of her own body and voice, at the cruel mercy of an alien machine. 'The good dragon is going to stop the evil knight and rescue the princes and princesses.'
'Alive, for preference. I think this "Black Knight" used a cerebro-shell on Mary, so it could well be Bombshell, the Decepticon Insecticon, and try saying that three times fast, or someone using his technology. But what I'd like to know is what he's after here, and how to disable the cerebro-shell.'
'Choose, Autobots! If you just bring me what I want, you can have these human creatures back, no need for battle.' the Black Knight bargained through Mary, perhaps made less bold after Shadow's threats.

"Have you ever stood on a dead world, knowing that you tried and couldn't stop it? If that didn't stop me, do you think you will?" Shadow replied with a rueful snicker. Softly, silently transforming in to her robot mode and with none of the fanfare of others. Her sequence was simple and silent she reared up onto her hind-legs her joints realigning as her face appeared from her dragon form's neck. Once Mary was handed over with an amused and vicious smile, she stepped back into the darkness and vanished. Activating her camo as she did so to completely disappear from sensors and sight.
"So alive huh? Might make this trickier, but it'll be fine, I'll cut off the controlling circuits to his head so he wont be able to move at all, the shock should make most of his systems shut down. Not an easy repair job but not lethal, might even avoid the vocaliser" she responded over the comms; sounding a little creepy with how she knew that it would happen that way "here we go!"
With that she silently made her first jump. Then immediately afterwards, with a strong push of her wings and the barest of touch of her feet on the dirt and stone, she launched herself off of the opposing wall and leapt towards the 'black knight', only the softest of rustles, a leaf on a breeze, was heard as her feathers did their job of making her flight soundless. Having correctly calculated the trajectory needed, Shadow's black, non-reflective, blade appeared out of the darkness of the pit; as she came flying out, like some monster out of the dark quickly (and accurately) cutting into her opponent's neck slicing through important circuitry, but leaving the functions important for life unscratched. It was a debilitating wound leaving them paralysed until repaired, but not lethal as she had promised. With that she used her momentum and forced the other to the ground her tail completely wrapping around her opponents head so as to ensure that no harm could come to her if indeed this was the one that Elegance spoke of. If he tried to use his strange technology on her, then her tail would take it, for she could afford to lose it as there were no vital parts kept within it and only the minimal amount of connections to her main systems. She liked her tail though and wasn't particularly keen on losing it. "You can thank my companion that you're not dead, I was never very good at playing the pacifist" she rumbled sub-vocally to her pinned captive. With the implied threat of 'go-ahead, make my day' being quite heavily there.
"Are you alright?" she called out to the little-ones scanning the area actively as she did so. Whilst not strictly invisible, her adaptive camo, had made her somewhat harder to keep an eye on, as she appeared to match the colours of her surroundings, which moved continuously; making her appear to be not quite where she was, should someone try to shoot her.
"Got him...not dead but err...I don't actually know how this guy's stuff works, so I've paralysed him and wrapped his head in my tail just in case." She sent down to Elegance over the comms "Should I hide my sword? I kind have it jammed through his throat right now. People tend to not like that very much." She sounded almost comically unsure of herself over the last part as though not quite understanding why people got that way.

It was over in astro-seconds: the black-armoured Decepticon was easily surprised and subdued, with Shadow's tail coiled around his neck. With this tactic, she could have any Decepticon beat. Unfortunately, this one really was the Insecticon Bombshell, and he didn't have much of a neck at all, with his heavily armoured head sunk deep into his body and flanked by massive shoulder plates and pauldrons. Shadow's sword slice had barely touched his neck, and her wrapping tail just could not get enough of a grip. So, while Shadow was distracted talking, Bombshell recovered his wits and, with a savage snarl, hurled the coiled tail off and knocked the blade aside. He leapt to his feet; it was easy to see why the children had called him the Black Knight, with his black and purple plating and a mouth-guard that looked like an old jousting knight's visor. http://instagram.com/p/B45Mb4Xg6bT You're not very good at playing the warrior either! Bombshell spat, before loosing a spiked-ball-and-chain weapon; powering up, it whirled around and around, faster than a human eye could see. Lashing out, left and right, he tried to batter Shadow with the massive, spiked, high-velocity ball. Meanwhile, the child hostages had understandably fled from the fight, scattering in all directions, moving swiftly and hiding easily. 'Be careful, never underestimate an Insecticon.' Elegance warned, too late.

Shadow rolled with the impact to her sword and simply blinked at him "Warrior? No. I'm not that, I murder people, I don't fight fair...what sort of," -she paused- "you know what never mind. Besides you're clearly no expert on the field of combat yourself." She moved fluidly, largely ignoring his weapon as it was large and clumsy, it might be fast, but she was faster. "By the way...you might want to watch your footing, this is unstable ground you know" she sounded almost conversational as she utilised her tail's counterbalance and a change in the terrain to dart in low under his swing before switching to a reverse grip to cut off his strange gun thing that was over his head, 'no point getting shot in close combat' she thought as she twisted and rolled back out of the way. "You do realise, I can set you on fire right?" whilst it may seem that she wasn't taking the fight seriously, she was actually exerting some effort to keep from getting hit. That weapon would do a lot of damage if it hit and she was very lightly armored, so her plan was not to get hit and either tire him out; or get him angry enough to leave a weakness open.
"Yeah I noticed, damn neck guards...should have just gone for the optics. I'm really not all that good at taking them alive, sorry." The response to Elegance seemed more resigned as though she was going, 'damn it not again' and not really being all that concerned. In honestly Shadow considered that she'd done well, she'd knocked him off balance and had allowed the children to escape, aside from Mary there were no more hostages and the insecticon seemed more intent on trying to kill her; which meant he was distracted and clearly not that good at this.

'As your huge friend found out!' Bombshell taunted before he swung his flail again, which Shadow agilely ducked. Then, just as the overhead armature was lowering to fire a mind-controlling cerebro-shell at her, hoping to end this without even a fight, her follow-up attack lopped off in a shower of sparks. She'd definitely made him angry now. 'Aargh! You'll pay for that!' In a rage, Bombshell made a mighty overhead swing, clumsy but brutal, trying to crush Shadow's head in with that spiked ball.
*
Meanwhile, Elegance stood at the bottom of a big hole, hands on hips, looking up at the sky and hearing the crashing sounds of metal. 'So this is the fear of missing out.' she sighed. With a bit of acrobatics, she might get up there and climb out. She also might bring more of the roof down on top of her. And she had the humans to think about. One of which was still under Bombshell's insidious control. She couldn't leave them behind. 'Janet, if I put your sister in the passenger seat, can you strap her in nice and tight?' She put her in and transformed back into the E-Type, as they tried to get Mary safe and secured.

"I am almost concerned about what you feel is a viable insult" Shadow replied dancing around her assailant ,occasionally darting in to leave a shallow cut along a limb, always moving out of the way before he could strike. "No" as Bombshell raised his hands, Shadow stowed her blade and transformed swiftly, his arms rose above his head, and she breathed. Napalm, was not a pleasant chemical; it was liquid and it burned. It stuck to you and was almost impossible to put out unless you knew what it was and how to neutralise it. Napalm got in your joints and dripped into your crevices and Shadow...Shadow had just breathed her burning napalm breath into the insecticon's face; before launching herself back, it had only been a short burst, not lethal, but it would hurt. Oh would it hurt.
She then crouching on all fours snarled prepared for the insecticon's next assault, if he acted as she thought he would, angered and in pain he would try to attack her, if he charged her, then she would try to dodge to the side. The danger lay in if he should keep his calm and try to shoot her. She couldn't dodge a bullet and her more lightly armoured form could not take as many hits as his more heavily armoured frame. She pushed her concern away, damage could be repaired, stolen life could not, she would not permit poor Mary to suffer more than she had to.
"Elegance, I just breathed napalm into his face and retreated back for now. If I've calculated correctly, he should be blinded, and far enough away that you can get out of there. If you're going to make a move do it now. The young ones are safe."

As Shadow transformed, Bombshell seized advantage of the opening, lashing out with the flail. Too bad it was such a slow and clumsy weapon. Caught mid-swing, he was engulfed by the sticky, superheated napalm. Instinctively, he flung his arms up to shield his face, but it was futile β the Insecticon was lost amidst the rushing flames. With a hideous screech, his plating was blackened, metal melted and warped and ran, his optics exploded. Then he crashed onto the carpark in a burst of metal and fire and smoke. The Insecticon was destroyed!
But then, standing atop a tower, Shadow spotted another, identical Insecticon. 'My name is Legion, for we are many!' Bombshell laughed loudly.
*
Above, the vaulted stone ceiling ran in a distinct curve toward the hole in the roof of this old chamber. Elegance had examined it thoroughly, and concluded this knowledge was useless to any bot who could not drive on sheer, vertical, and inverted surfaces. Fortunately, she was not that bot. Transforming into the most beautiful sportscar in the world, she powered her engines, shifted to top gear, slammed her accelerator, and drove right at the old stone wall! 'Hold onto your hats, ladies!' 'We're not wearing hats!' Susan squealed, excited. 'Then hold onto your butts!' Then she bounced off the floor, flipped to vertical while retaining forward momentum, and slammed all four super-adhesive high-friction-coefficient tyres against the wall. And stuck! Revving the engine again, swerving to get her grip on rough stone, Elegance drove up the wall, over the concave curve of the ceiling until she hung upside down, and kept going full speed at her impromptu inverted ramp.
*
Like a bat out of hell, the E-Type rocketed out of the hole, upside down and heading toward the castle wall, the cliff, and the town of Hastings beneath. But mid-air, Elegance transformed and thrust her hands into the grass, turning her trajectory into a skilfully executed somersault, before landing on her feet with a flourish and facing back toward the hall and Shadow. 'Tada!' 'Whee! Let's go again!' Susan cheered from her back compartment, while Janet and Mary were as white as sheets.
Meanwhile, Elegance's front bumper landed in her hand, becoming an energon bow. She sighted along and drew back an arrow, just as the burning Bombshell collapsed. 'Oh, did I miss Guy Fawkes?' she tutted.
But, seeing the other Bombshell, she quickly adjusted her aim, and fired. The arrow arced across the castle courtyard, and struck him in the optic. With a gurgling yell, Bombshell fell back and dropped behind the wall. 'So much for poor King Harold.'

Shadow watched the running and exploding and sighed before Bombshell turned up on a high point and made his quip, the dragon simply turned her head and blinked up at him. "You're reminding me of the human so called 'b-movies'...only worse. You know like those ones that are done really badly, the cringy ones" the sheer feeling of unimpressed and quite frank unwillingness to assign an emotion to this buffoonery was quite obvious on her face.
Then of course Elegance did her superhero thing and Shadow just frowned, wondering what the heck was with that, but she kept her mouth shut this time. Making an assumption that this was in large to make the humans feel better. She did however respond "What does blowing up parliament have to do with the bug?" she asked cocking her head much like a confused Labrador, which was almost comical considering her sheer size and lizard like appearance.
"To be honest I think King Harold would appreciate the irony. Though Battle is quite far away, both the place and the event it seems..." she trailed off thoughtfully and leapt into the air to have a good look at where Bombshell landed without getting anywhere close to being 'in-range' she hummed thoughtfully "I think he's out for now. Shall I cut his gun thingy off his head again?" she asked casually, as her active camo was switched off to allow it to recharge. She did feel a little drained, but no-where near enough to be concerned; her endurance was pretty good, honed by her long years out in the field.

'Yes, I think that would be best!' Elegance called after Shadow, and then she transformed back into an E-type, her wheels bouncing down on the grass and driving across to the carpark, away from the great hole and where her surveillance detected small children hiding. Once there, she released her seatbelts and opened her doors to let her passengers out. Mary and Janet were all too relieved and eager to scramble of the Transformer, while Susan was reluctant and unwilling, moaning 'Aww!'
Janet rushed around the car to check on Mary, grasping her by the shoulders; 'Mary, are you okay?' Mary groaned and clutched her head. 'It's gone! The voice, it's gone, thank god.' she gasped gratefully, hugging her sister tightly. Meanwhile, all the children darted out of hiding and gathered around their mothers.
*
Landing behind the wall, Shadow saw the big broken bush that had no doubt broken Bombshell's fall, but not Bombshell himself, or his clone, or whoever it really was. Snapped branches, crushed bushes, and deep footprints marked a trail through the forested slope behind the castle...

Shadow perched half onto top of the crumbling wall, her weight largely on her hind legs with her tail stretched out for balance, as she stared out at those footprints. "Well that's not good" she commented to herself. Half her instincts demanding that she follow and track down her hapless prey, the other half telling her more primitive self to knock it off, as they had a duty of care to those who'd be dragged in here against their will. Thankfully the common sense won out and Shadow turned on her tail and padded off towards Elegance, keeping her sensors on very high alert.
'Bad news, he's gone away. Tracks lead away from the castle down through the woods. I'd offer to follow; but it's probably a trap, leaving an obvious trail like that generally is' she spoke over the radio sounding more than a little annoyed and slightly bitter. 'Want to see what was so important down there? After we've got the humans safely secured of course.'
Out loud she responded "I am glad you are unharmed, perhaps this has been enough excitement for today, would you like an escort?" She sounded quite contrite and was making an effort to appear less intimidating, didn't always work; but she tried. She would of course understand if the humans wished to go home themselves or if Elegance thought they would require medical attention. Shadow was never very good at telling when one was injured enough to go to medical, and often had been chastised by her sibling.

Up in the trees, a small, shiny beetle-like form scuttled along a branch, and watched Shadow go. Bombshell quietly cursed as he missed his chance for an ambush. But there would be others... He spread his wings flew off through the forest.

'Oh, indeed.' Elegance agreed over the comms on the question of traps. 'I'd love to β I always did have an interest in history. And Bombshell will be back for whatever is down there, so I'd much rather we found it first.'
At Shadows question to the humans, Elegance opened all her doors again invitingly, offering 'I can drive you back into town?'
This prompted some interest from the children, but Mary and Janet looked reluctantly between the E-Type and the exit of the carpark. They'd had enough of fear and giant robot battles for now, especially Mary. It was Janet who answered; 'Uh, no, thank you. We should get out of your way, just in case...'
Elegance unfolded and transformed back into her robot mode, crouching down on her knee and mimicking a sympathetic expression on her silver face. 'I understand. I'm sorry about how it ended, but I had a great day out with your family.' She held out a hand to shake, tiny fleshy hands in her huge but gentle steel ones, while the children tried to hug her and Shadow's legs alike. 'We'll keep watch until you're safely away.'
