Autobot City
In actuality the titan Metroplex, currently stationed on an artificial island in the Atlantic in his sprawling city mode. As a titan, Metroplex houses the only space bridge on the planet, and thus is the primary means of accessing the planet. All inbound and outbound traffic (so to speak) from Cybertron or the colonies flows through the nexus in the central command station.
EDC HQ
The Earth Defense Command, the planetary police force for extraterrestrial affairs, has their central headquarters in Washington DC. Sub-branches exist in all major cities.
The Velocidome
Built by the Velocitronians in the Australian outback for the purpose of, what else, racing. Only the bravest of human racers challenge Velocitronians at their own game. The area around the dome is popular with offroaders as well.
The Big Wombat
Australia's a big place, full of wide-open spaces and harsh landscapes. It demands movement, and if you don't move with it, it will move you. That quote, found on an Aussie train station, adequately explains the Big Wombot.
This small Autobot base makes up for the continent's sparse population and great distances by being mobile, ambling endlessly on a perpetual walkabout across the deserts, through the bushland, over the mountains, and even burrowing into the ground. But wherever it goes, it's a welcome sight. Many a time, a small country town or regional city has woken up to find the Big Wombot parked on its outskirts and an instant tourist trap, or struggling emergency services have been offered its aid in a fire or flood, or a lost bot or human has been glad to see it marching over the horizon toward them, and always with an onboard pub to quench their thirst. But stay in it too long, and you might find yourself carried interstate. But whatever it does, the Big Wombot is a true-blue bot who puts in the hard yakka.
The Big Wombot's primary mode, of course, is a beast mode, that of a huge robotic wombat, a tough, squat, and powerful four-legged marsupial, with an operational centre and scanning apparatus in its small head, storage space and facilities in its large barrel-shaped body, and a boarding hatch and extendable ramp in its backside, where the marsupial's reversed pouch would be. Its back is adorned with solar panels and a windmill to generate power. Hatches in its sides open to create gun emplacements, viewing platforms, and balconies great for having a bonza party on.
When pressed into battle, it's called the Combat Wombat for good reason. In beast mode, it fights with shoulder-mounted guns, head-on charges, paw swipes, and a crushing rear slam – that is, sitting down on any bot unlucky enough to be caught behind it. In any case, it spends most of its time in this mode, which is ideal for marching doggedly across rough countryside and for burrowing into the ground.
The base mode proper is mostly underground, to shield its human and bot inhabitants from the desert heat and other harsh conditions, but its handy in a fight too. On the rare occasion it’s deployed, it first excavates a burrow in the ground with its powerful forepaws, but when possible prefers to occupy a cave, abandoned mine, or crater rather than tear up the ground. The only structures visible on the surface are the solar panels and windmill, defensive and monitoring systems, landing pad, a hatch into the base, and a sign for the Outback's Arms Hotel.
The primary, and just about only, feature of this base is the famous Outback's Arms Hotel, run by Outback himself. Anyone, bot or human, can find a bed and a pub feed here, and especially their choice of the best cold beers, oils, and energon beverages Earth and Cybertron have to offer. The interior is decorated with souvenirs of Australia and Cybertron, all the places the Big Wombot has visited.
While not key to Earth politics and space and bridge travel, the continent of Australia offers a wide variety of metal and energy resources that bots need and wide, flat, and empty spaces for big bots to manoeuvre in and Velocitronians to race on. Thus, in lieu of an official Cybertronian embassy or base in Australia, Outback's Arms Hotel has become the Autobot's informal representative and meeting place here. A regular stop is the Velocidome during the major race events, with the Big Wombot carrying tourists and racers who can't drive themselves. The Big Wombot isn't as fast, but the Velocitronians appreciate its mobile nature.
Ground bridge Stations
Since becoming a popular vacation planet in the Council of Worlds, all major population centers have a ground bridge nexus for both travel and shipping purposes. These days, using a bridge is faster and cheaper than air travel for going long distances.
