BIO:
Currently a retired assassin, Shadow once worked in black ops for the Autobots during the war. With its conclusion, she now finds herself somewhat at a loss for what to do.
Originally created (possibly from Predacon remains) to be a test bed for her 'mother's' weaponry, she lived her early life being treated as more of a piece of equipment than a person. this changed somewhat when her mother's second creation (Shadow's brother) was introduced to her. Through this, Shadow learned some of how to talk to people and act like a person rather than blindly obeying every command given.
How this might have continued is unclear as Shadow's home was attacked in a raid by pirates after hearing of a weapons cache on the small colony where she lived. Pretty much everyone was wiped out and Shadow escaped by use of the new technology her mother had installed in her previously. Unfortunately, her brother and herself were separated in the attack and Shadow ran around the galaxy on her lonesome for a while, falling back on what she knew best—beating people up and occasionally killing them if it was logical to do so.
Eventually, she gained something of a reputation and made a few bad choices, but as a result of this was picked up by the Autobot black ops forces who gave her a choice: work with us or die. Shadow didn't really want to die, so decided to stick around for a bit and help the cause. Not that she really ever believed in it, but thought it a nice sentiment anyhow.
Once the war ended, Shadow was effectively given counselling and then unleashed onto the great wide universe and is now somewhat at a loss for what to do. As Shadow is somewhat emotionally stunted, she has had to learn over the years why everyone else views killing as a bad thing.
Whilst she isn't exactly understanding of why the actions she once performed for the good of the Autobots during the war are now reviled, she has come to terms with the need for laying down her arms and now tries to explore what life beyond warfare means.
However, she's quite clear on maintaining her skills as she's seen lulls in fighting before and is never quite clear as to whether the peace she now lives in is permanent or not. Thankfully for all involved this normally is left down to performing her sword katas, agility exercises, entering martial competitions and occasionally jumping out at friends from dark corners.
Currently, Shadow is living on Earth and exploring; she's spent quite a bit of time in England and has become very fond of playing the dragon in their yearly saint's day parades. Needless to say, she's become very fond of the legends of British history and has grown quite fond of the country. Although she does also travel to other countries often, she tends to consider England 'home' and always makes time to visit.
She is known to the EDC and as such has offered her services should they be required. She's officially on as a reservist because having an assassin on the payroll could be useful, but most of the time she just assists with training.
WEAPONS/ABILITIES:
Shadow is more agile than strong; she tends to attack her prey like a hunting hawk, striking death from above and then disappearing. She possesses chameleon-like abilities and can blend into her environment very well; though she often likes to hide in plain sight, she has been known to develop more complicated camouflage techniques. She is radar-invisible and has a low heat signature.
Her principle weapons are her talons, her fire breath (napalm), a pistol, a rifle, and her swords. One is black (non-reflective paint) and the other a very beautiful blue blade which is made of materials that no-one is really sure about… but it's pretty much just pretty to look at and the two are pretty much the same in terms of strength and sharpness. (I kinda want to give her a hidden blade but that might be pushing it).
She is very good at getting into places and will often think outside the box as to how to get in; she has been known to use her dragon mode to dig a tunnel.
She can fly and indeed can reach some impressive speeds… but she flies more like a bird does than a jet, so she's actually pretty slow in comparison. The upside is that she is far more manoeuvrable and can hover without sounding like a shrieker going off overhead. Nearly silent in her flight, she can change direction on her tail and attack without warning.
WEAKNESSES:
Emotionally stunted, she doesn't really get humour most of the time unless people explain it. Though she is getting better, she can get somewhat offended by jokes because she doesn't understand them. She can also be very blunt when responding to people, so don't make her a diplomat, she'd probably insult the other person's dress/tie or something.
She's a dragon, she's pretty obvious when not trying to hide.
Shadow is also not as strong as others so whilst she can take a few hits, that's about all she can take. She relies on parrying and countering in close combat, using her greater agility to her advantage. She's a precision killer and tends to aim for weak points rather than drawn-out conflict.
She's a pretty good shot at distance, but up close she's not all that good; she's more likely to throw the pistol at you than actually shoot you.
Her chameleon abilities also take a lot of power so she does have a time limit on them. Whilst not as energy-draining as holograms or invisibility, it's not something she uses for long periods of time, only when she needs to hide.
SAMPLE POST:
"Fear me for I am the fierce dragon whomst has captured the fair princess!" roared the black and red dragon her head lashing to and fro in front of the captured maiden tied to a pole.
"Nay I shall not! For I am St. George and I shall slay thee and rescue her! For Christ is my ally and I shall not fail!" a man in plate armour reposts with a threatening growl. He moves over to the dragon and raises his shining sword of steel and stabbed at the viscious beast before him "Take this!" he cried.
"Noooooo! I am SLAIN" the creature shrieked writhing in pain as the sword struck true.
It was at this point that the crowd erupted into cheers as Shadow did a somewhat obviously over the top death scene and then laid still making herself appear as if dead. The young man then rescued his fair princess and there was an equally over the top scene following afterwards wherein the king thanked George and all of that. To be honest Shadow thought the entire thing was silly, but it was still rather fun regardless.
"Okay, oh fearsome dragon you can get up now" Michael who'd been playing St. George told the 'dead' dragon once the play was over "we need to go take a bow and get boo'd and applauded" he spoke poking her in the side with his very blunt sword.
With a slight laugh Shadow rolled back to all four legs and transformed "Alright, alright I'm up, I'm up!" This was the fourth show today and to be honest St. George's day was always her favourite it was the only time she ever really realised just what she'd missed when she'd been young and just why all she went through had been worth it….well that and getting to play Smaug in the hobbit that one time, but that's another story.
