BIO:
When the Rescue Bots were instated by Optimus Prime shortly after his appointment, Siren was one of the first to sign up. Young, occationally reckless and eager to prove himself, he was often the first to throw himself into an Emergency, occationally before fully understanding what he was getting himself into.
In a happier era of history, Siren may well have eventually settled down somewhat and become a model emergency responder. Unfortunately, the Autobot Decepticon War was far from a happy time for anybody. As noncombatants, the Rescue Bots were mostly involved in damage control, cleaning up after large battles, tending to the injured and rebuilding as best as they could to keep Cybertron functioning. For a while they were able to operate in this function undisturbed, as even Megatron saw the value they were providing to their crumbling homeworld.
Unfortunately for Siren and the rest of the Rescue Division, Megatron's orders only stood for those who were loyal to his command, and Shockwave was his own master.
Shockwave saw in the Rescue Division an easy to access group of targets that would be able to do minimal damage to his latest creation, the Insecticons, during their initial testing phase. He had many Rescue teams rounded up, including Siren's team Kappa-5, and released them into an enclosed area of Cybertron to be slaughtered.
Sheer dumb luck was the primary factor in Siren surviving in The Arena long enough to be rescued himself. He was the only member of his team to make it out.
The remaining Rescue Bots attempted to continue operating as normal, however with their numbers decimated and the war stretching on they were vastly less effective. Until eventually, whilst patrolling the outer rim, they were forced into Stasis for over a hundred thousand years.
Eventually their ship was reactivated by a stray transmission, and the last of the Rescue Bots, Siren Included, arived on Earth. Seeing an opportunity to strengthen the tentative alliance between Earth and the Autobots, Optimus placed the Rescue Bots under the the recently founded Earth Defence Command, and that is where they have been since.
These days, Siren is a lot more jaded than when he stared out. Always fast with a snarky remark, he keeps how he is really feeling close to his chest. His current assignment is a police squadron in London, where his day to day activities range anywhere between fetching cats out of trees to responding to attacks on the city and its residents.
WEAPONS/ABILITIES:
Siren's only inbuilt weaponry are two defensive batons that slot away into his forearms when not in use. Besides that, he has some in built police radars for tracking the speed of other vehicles on the road.
Perhaps his greatest strength is simply that he is highly adaptable.
WEAKNESSES:
As a noncombatant, he both doesn't carry any significant weaponry and is also not trained as a fighter. If innocent lives were on the line and he had to fight, he would, but up against somebody who actually knew what they were doing he would be unlikely to last very long.
SAMPLE POST:
"Alright cowboy, can you tell me why I've pulled you over today?"
Siren cracked a grin as he watched the expression on the human driver he had pulled over shift from one of shock, to confusion, to recognition, to resignation. It wasn't an uncommon sight. The good ones, the ones who stopped when he turned on the flashing lights instead of attempting to speed off, often went to pull paperwork out of their glove box between when they stopped and when he reached their window. If he moved quickly, and quietly, he could be knelt down closer to their level in time to scare the living daylights out of them when they turned back to see a mid sized Cybertronian where they were expecting a human officer.
This particular driver was wearing a fluffy pink cowboy hat, hence the nickname.
"I... was I... speeding, officer?" She asked, sounding like she was still too shocked to make up a proper excuse. Cybertronians were by no means uncommon, of course, most people simply didn't expect to see then working with the police was all.
"Oh, you were only going... twenty miles over the limit. I would like your licence and registration, please and thank you very much," Siren responded with a lopsided grin, making pistols with his fingers and flicking them playfully as if he was shooting her.
Sometimes, just sometimes, he really enjoyed his job.
